As we awoke this morning, we knew that there was a challenge in front of us here - as we were making the way over to Rochdale to take on Roach Dynamos - and these always provide a test. But we're on a roll and having won our opening two games of the campaign, we were going over to make sure that turned into three..

As the lads came out for their warm-up, there were more new faces - and Jack and Darren are certainly building a strong squad here now. Robbie Holt was back in the white and black shirt - having previously played for our 1st-team - and as the boys were put through their paces, whatever 11 were named to start would be strong....

Those 11 turned out to be Mitch in net and the back three in front of him were to be Ben Birch, Luke Needham and Mr Holt making his debut and the wing-backs today were to be Logan and Josh. The engines in the middle of the park were to be provided by Alex and Connah with Ben in front of them - and with Yatesy and Charlie starting together up top, we had some attacking flair in there that's for sure. The bench was strong as well - with the likes of Rav, Ste, Mark, Nat and Cameron Cleary to choose from if we wanted to freshen things up - and as the referee called the captains together, the scene was set. Another win please boys. They did not disappoint...

Although the first-half only saw us grab one goal, if truth be told we were all over the hosts and could have had the game wrapped up before the second period started. All over the park, our lads were better - but all we had to show for that first 45 was a great ball from Alex Williams being slipped inside the channel for Ben to sprint onto and smash past their helpless keeper and into the back of their net for his 4th goal of the campaign. We did have to make a change though - as Josh took a knock and had to come off - so on came Cam Cleary on 25 minutes and on we went. But that was that for the first period and when the referee blew his whistle for the break, nobody there could believe that the game was still in the balance...

The coaches were simple in their message - just keep doing what you've been doing - but just be a bit more clinical in this second period and the result will end up showing the superiority that we had. No changes were made and with their drinks gulped and lungs re-filled, they were back out there ready to go again...

And those words must have hit home - because the second-half was a blitz from the boys in white and black - and we managed to grab another five goals! First up saw another sublime pass from the skipper picking out Logan wide on our left and as he cut inside, he slammed his shot high and wide of their keeper and into the roof of their net. 2-0 and we were finally showing some of the stuff we know we're capable of...

Next up saw a good team move culminate in Charlie waiting for the exact right moment before inching his pass through the gap and there was Yatesy who was onto it in a flash and as he brushed past his man, he guided the ball perfectly past the out-stretched arm of their No.1 and into the back of his net. 3-0 and surely that was that...

Rav then came on for a slice of the action - replacing Luke - and we then scored again! This time the ball was fed to Logan and he sprinted past his man before looking up and picking out a peach of a pass to see Yatesy get in front of his marker and slam the ball home from about 10 yards out. 4-0! We were flying now...

Charlie then came off to a warm round of applause in a move that saw Ste come on at 70 minutes before Mark then replaced the excellent Connah in the middle of the park - and then we grabbed another two goals before the final whistle as the Roach players had given up now and wanted to go home already. Both goals were assisted by our Logan - and both finely ticked up by the ever-young Yatesy to bag himself a second hat-trick in two games! We had cruised to a 6-0 victory and with that, we have really sent a message out to the rest of the division. Cam came off in place on Josh on 85 minutes and then we saw the skipper Alex replaced by Luke - but the result was done by then and when the whistle blew to bring proceedings to an end, it was us that were coming home with all of the points...

Robbie Holt was awarded the Man of the Match for not putting a foot wrong all game and all of the lads can go home knowing that they played their part in this win today. Next up - another away trip to Welcome Inn FC - and if we play like we did out here today, then hopefully it should be 12 points out of 12 come this time next Sunday...
